Hospitality Leadership is the Foundation of Emerald

Emerald Hospitality is founded on the tradition of true hospitality leadership and spirit. Each and every guest that stays at one of our managed hotels is welcomed like a visitor into our own homes. Our hospitality spirit is cultivated through an open communication style and mutual support system. Our Associates, at all levels, are empowered to anticipate and exceed the needs and expectations of our guests.

As this spirit evolved, it was imperative that we develop a hospitality leadership forum to share best practices, enhance guest services and support intra-hotel synergies between hotel teams. In response, we rolled out our “Departmental Leadership Council Program.” While there have been a multitude of positive results from the implementation of this key result area, our primary focus for establishing these councils is threefold:

  1. To enable Emerald senior management to identify individuals for future leadership roles and promotions.
  2. To provide a forum for all Emerald Hospitality Associates, entry level line positions to President of the Company, to have input in how we conduct our operations and guest support activities.
  3. To provide a channel for communication of operational activities and decisions to all Emerald Hospitality associates.

The Councils are lead by General Managers from our various properties and mentored by a member of our Corporate leadership team.
