Emerald Hospitality Associates, Inc. Announces Corporate Restructure – Positioning For Growth

Westlake, Ohio – Emerald Hospitality Associates, Inc. (EHA) announced Thursday a comprehensive corporate re-structuring as part of an evolution of growth in hotel management. This restructuring of existing corporate staff allows room for additional support positions to be added as the company aggressively seeks growth opportunities.

The company currently manages 24 hotels with Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt franchise affiliations and is poised to add more to the portfolio in the coming months. “The vigorous work and dedication of every Emerald Hospitality associate has contributed to our success and continued growth, for which I am extremely proud and thankful for what we have accomplished together,” states James R. Gerish, former President and now Chairman and CEO, in an all-company team meeting webinar last week. He continues on, stating “as we look to our future, it is paramount we develop a strategy to maintain our commitment to fully support our hotels while establishing a structure which enables continued growth.”

Newly appointed COO Ed Pavente has been with EHA for 16 years and states “It is an exciting time for our company. Unprecedented growth along with our unwavering commitment to our many partners and investors is the catalyst for this change. Emerald is poised to show significant growth over the next several years and the foundation we are putting in place today will help to ensure our success in the future.” Pavente goes on to state “as we transition into the arena of larger sized hotel management companies we want to be able to continue to deliver upon our promise of dedicated and focused hospitality management that will deliver promising results for our associates, our guests, and our owners/investors for many years to come.”

This corporate re-structuring will promote several tenured executives into key roles within the company. Most notably:

Jim Gerish, founder of EHA and current President is named Chairman/Chief Executive Officer Ed Pavente, named Chief Operating Officer Jeff Gerish, named Chief Development Officer Art Borowski, named Chief Financial Officer Scott Arra, named Senior Vice President Operations Lori Berhent, named Vice President of Revenue Generation and Business Development Jeanne Carpentier, named Regional Vice President of Revenue Generation.
